Adam Smalley joined Coles Racing for the 2016 Season, where he made his debut in European Kart competition. Smalley hit the ground running with victory in the Rotax Winter Cup - his first ever European event!
He continued to be in contention for podiums after taking a series of pole positions and strong finishes throughout the season.
A late season dash in luck and misfortune meant Smalley just missed out on a top 5 finish overall, taking 7th in the Junior Rotax Euro Challenge standings out of 50+ competitors.
The end of the season saw Smalley enter the Ginetta Scholarship. Prior the event he had never driven a race car - fast forward a couple of weeks and Smalley was crowned as the Ginetta Junior Scholarship winner for 2016! The judges were impressed by the youngster and announced him the winner out of the 50+ entrants for the coveted prize.
Smalley won a funded season in the Ginetta Junior Championship for the 2017 season - where he will be racing with JHR Developments for in his debut season in cars.
