Round five of the Ginetta GT4 Supercup championship took place on the 28/28 August at Thruxton race circuit. Adam had one of his best weekends to date as well as regaining the championship lead.

Adam arrived at Thruxton trailing by 36pts in the championship but heads to North Yorkshire with a 12pt advantage. The weekend kicked off with Qualifying on Saturday morning. Adam did 1 flying lap in the session which put him on pole position. His 4th pole of the season out of 5 rounds.

Race one was held on Saturday afternoon, Adam started from pole position and made a good start to maintain the lead. It was a close battle with his team mate who was hot on his heels but Adam held onto the lead and went on to take the win.

Race two, held on Sunday morning was a repeat of Saturdays race. He set the fastest lap of the race and managed the gap to second place. Adam led the race from start to finish and took his 7th win of the season live on ITV4. It was another great result for the team with a 1-2 finish for Elite Motorsport.

The third and final race of the weekend was one to remember. Adam started 6th on the grid as it was the reverse grid race. It was a very busy first lap, Adam narrowly avoided a crash ahead and managed to gain a couple of places on the first lap. He got into 3rd place shorty after and chased down second place. It was an action-packed race, Adam slipped back down the order but managed to come back through to cross the line in second place. Unfortunately, the leader was too far away but it was the best result possible. It was a perfect weekend for Adam as he regained the championship lead going into the final three rounds of the year.

There is a short break now before the Ginetta GT4 Supercup Championship heads to Croft Circuit for round 6 on the 18/19 September.
